Day: 01
Arrival in Kathmandu. You stay overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.
Day: 02
Drive from Kathmandu to Daman. You stay overnight at resort in Daman.
Situated at a height of 2100 m./7500 ft. above sea level and a distance of 80 kms./50 miles, Daman is known for its vantage location in viewing the Himalayan peaks such as Mount Everest, Annapurna, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Langtang, Dorje Lakpa, Gauri Shankar, Cho Oyu etc. There is a view tower from where one can have a panoramic view of 300 miles of the Himalayan range.
Day: 03
Drive from Daman to Chitwan. You stay overnight in Chitwan.
You can enjoy jungle activities. The Royal Chitwan National Park is the lush valley of Chitwan situated in the foothills of Churia ranges which houses the first National Park of the Kingdom. This National Park is famous for its variety of wildlife especially the Great Indian One Horned Rhinoceros and the elusive Royal Bengal Tiger.
At present, there are seven Wildlife Lodges/Camps operating safari style lodges within the park area and offers elephant excursions in the heart of the jungle to view the games.
Day: 04
Full day jungle activities as per program. You stay overnight in Chitwan.
During your stay in Chitwan National Park you can enjoy different jungle activities such as:
Canoe Trip: You can enjoy canoe trip on either The Rapti River or The Budhi Rapti River which border the National Park. You can see two types of crocodiles, the Gharial and Mugger basking on the river bank.
Bird Watching: For the bird watchers, it is Paradise Island with over 450 species of exotic birds of domestic as well as migratory birds. Many are threatened, e.g. the Great pied hornbill, Bengal Florican, Peregrine falcon, lesser adjutant storks, etc. A bird watching trip will be a memorable experience.
Jungle Drive: A tour by four wheel drive in the less distributed areas of the park to track the rarer species. You will visit Ox-bow Lake and museum of historic interest relating to the park. However during this period we will visit 20,000 areas which afford a varied experience of birds and mammals.
Nature Walk: Our experienced naturalists will accompany you to the more specialized habitats. This is the ideal opportunity to explore and experience at closer quarters and beauty of the flora and fauna. The authority of the naturalist must be closely observed to obviate any risks from wildlife attacks.
Elephant Breeding Centre: This is the first Elephant breeding centre in Asia. You can see baby elephants socializing with their parents and other babies. This centre is government owned and its purpose is to raise the young elephants, and to train them to convey tourist around the region.
Village tour: Excursion in Tharu village will grant you an exhilarating experience. Tharus are the indigenous inhabitant of the Terai. We offer guided cultural tours to meet the people and experience their traditional self-sufficient way of life.
Cultural Program: In the evening you will get an opportunity to be a part of Tharu folk dance. The drummers and symbolic stick dancers perform traditional movements and invite guests to join them in this rhythmic display. Such cultural shows performed by Tharus will be an unforgettable experience. The Tharus in traditional colorful costumes, unique in their disparity with the common mode of dress all over Nepal, are sure to captivate you.
Presentation of Slideshow: The presentation of slideshow about the National Parks, its flora and fauna, illegal poaching and development and plan of National Parks.
Elephant safari: On elephant back you can view the wild life of the area in their natural habitat.
Elephant Bathing: Your guide will take you to the specific place where you can observe elephant bathing.
Crocodile Walk: One more option is to go for crocodile walk. It goes through grassland and forest along the bank of Rapti / Narayani river.
Day: 05
Drive from Chitwan to Lumbini and it takes approximately three hours. You stay overnight at hotel in Lumbini.
You can enjoy half day tour of Lumbini. 232 kms/145 miles away from Kathmandu, Lumbini is the birth place of Lord Buddha. The broken Ashoka Pillar, remnants of old monastery, images of Buddha's mother Maya Devi, are still preserved here.
Lumbini can be reached by road from Kathmandu via Pokhara or Royal Chitwan National Park or by air till Bhairahawa and then by road.
Day: 06
Sight seeing tour of Lumbini. You stay overnight at hotel in Lumbini.
Day: 07
Drive from Lumbini to Palpa Tansen. You stay overnight at hotel in Tansen.
This day you can enjoy half day tour of Palpa Tansen. Situated on the slopes of a hill called Shreengar Danda, Tansen is a bright Himalayan Town. It is also the most popular summer resort of western Nepal on account of its position and climate. It has perhaps Nepal's most far stretching views of the country's chief attraction - The Himalayas; from Dhaulagiri in the west to Gauri Shanker in the north east.
Day: 08
Drive from Palpa to Pokhara. You stay overnight at Hotel in Pokhara.
The rare combination of snow clad peaks, snow fed lakes and rivers has helped to make the Valley of Pokhara (210 km./131 miles from Kathmandu) one of the most picturesque natural attractions in the Kingdom.
A must for all visitors to Pokhara Valley is the Phewa Lake. A half day excursion of the Pokhara Valley consists of a visit to the old city, new market, the cap factory and the Seti Gorge. For people with more time in hand, can visit the Begnas and Rupa Tal or take a 3 hour hike to Sarangkot or Hyangja.
Day 09 :
Pokhara (820 m) - Tikhedhunga (1500m), drive via Nayapul.
3 - 3½ hours, 50m Descent, 500m Ascent
After breakfast at hotel, you could drive by car or van for 1 and half hours to Nayapul (1070m). Then you start your trekking. The first part of your trek is easy passing through numerous small villages and settlements. Afterwards you could ascend gently to the final destination of the day. The majority people here are Gurung and their religion is Buddhist. They are engaged in agricultural activities and animal husbandry, tourism business; some are employed in Gorkha and Indian regiments and overseas employment.
Day 10 :
Tikhedhunga (1500m) - Ghorepani (2900m)
6 - 6½ hours, 1400m Ascent, 100m Descent
To begin your trek, you could ascend steeply for the early 2 hours upto Ulleri (2010) and then ascend gently passing through Banthanti, Magar villages. On the way, you could see good view of Machhapuchhare or Fish Tail (6993m.), Hiunchuli (6441m.), and Annapurna South (7219m.). Now your trail is quite easier passing through rhododendron and shadowy trees and descends gently up to the final camp. You could see some of the wild life such as monkey and various species of birds.
Day 11 :
Ghorepani (2900m) – Poonhill (3200m), trek to Tatopani (1200m)
6 - 6½ hours, 1700m Descent, 50m Ascent
Early morning trip to Poon Hill (3200m.) to enjoy the sunrise view over Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167m.), Tukuche Peak (6920m.), Nilgiri (6940m.), Varaha Shikhar (7847m.), Mt. Annapurna I (8091m.), Annapurna South (7219m.), Annapurna III (7555m.), Machhapuchhare (6993m.), Annapurna IV (7525m.), Annapurna II (7937m.), Lamjung Himal (6932m.) and other numerous snowcapped mountain peaks. After breakfast at Lodge you descent all the way to Tatopani via Chitre, Shikha & Ghara. After descending through the rhododendron forest, fine vistas open up as you approach Chitre, with the Dhaulagiri Range straight ahead. The path then leads through terraced fields to Sikha, a Magar village clustered on a ridge. You continue to descend, gradually at first and then more steeply to cross the Ghar Khola. After a short climb, you then cross the Kali Gandaki on a large suspension bridge and from here it is only a short distance upstream to Tatopani. Tatopani takes its name from the hot springs near the river below the village. Your route ascends gently up the Kali Gandaki Gorge, the deepest gorge in the world. You can enjoy the hot spring at Tatopani as the word. Tatopati is termed after the natural hot spring situated at the bank of the Kali Gandaki river. It is popularly believed that taking bath in Hot Spring helps you to get rid of skin diseases. Along this, it gives you physical and mental refreshment as well.
Day 12:
Tatopani (1200m) – Ghasa (2010m)
5 ½ - 6 hours, 810m Ascent, 50m Descent
Trek from Tatopani (1200m.) to Ghasa and it takes about five and half to six hours. Your route ascends gently up the Kali Gandaki Gorge, the deepest gorge in the world, towards the village of Dana, which is surrounded by orange groves. From autumn to winter, baskets of these oranges are offered for sale to passing travelers. Just beyond the small hamlet of Ruptse, a thundering waterfall cascades down beside the trail. From here, the trail enters the steepest and narrowest section of the gorge, but the layered stone path is well-constructed and wide. When the rock cliffs end, you descend to the river before making the short climb back up to Ghasa. This is the first Thakali village you come across and the houses here are all built in the flat-roofed Tibetan style. Ghasa is a popular place for Bird lovers.
Day 13 :
Ghasa (2010m) – Kalopani (2535m)
2 - 2 ½ hours, 525m Ascent, 50m Descent
Trek from Ghasa (2010m.) to Kalopani which takes about two and half hours. The trail continues to ascend and pass through Lete at 2470m, shortly before arriving at Kalopani, where you obtain superb views of the Nilgiri peaks, Annapurna I, Dhaulagiri I and Tukuche Peak.
Day14 :
Kalopani (2535m) – Tukuche (2590m)
3 ½ - 4 hours, 60m Ascent, 20m Descent
Trek from Kalopani (2535m.) to Tukuche and it takes about three and half to four hours. This day you start the trek by crossing to the eastern side of the river, but cross back again further up the trail before entering Larjung at 2560m. The trail continues on a short distance to the interesting village of Khobang with its narrow alleyways. Then you reach at the ancient Thakali village of Tukuche at 2590m. Tukuche is the main business centre in between Tibet and South India in the ancient.
Day 15 :
Tukuche (2590m) – Jomsom (2720m)
3 - 3 ½ hours, 130m Ascent, 50m Descent
Trek from Tukuche (2590m.) to Jomsom which takes about three to three and half hours. You trek through almost flat level. On the way, you see the apple, peaches, walnut orchard which looks very fascinating. As you trek, you come across many Thakali villages such as Syang, Marpha and so on. Late morning onward, the Kali Gandaki valley is featured as windy areas. In Marpha, you can visit Tibetan Refugee camp. The people living here wander to sell their Tibetan goods to the visitors. It is one of the sources of their income.
Day 16 :
Jomsom (2720m) – Kagbeni (2800m)
2 - 2 ½ hours, 80m Ascent, 20m Descent
Trek from Jomsom (2720m.) to Kagbeni and it takes about two to two and half hours. You begin your trek to Kagbeni following along the bank of Kali Gandaki river. En route, you pass through arid part of Kali Gandaki river.
Day 17 :
Kagbeni (2800m) – Muktinath (3800m)
4 - 4 ½ hours, 1000m Ascent, 20m Descent
Trek from Kagbeni (2800m.) to Muktinath (3800m) which takes about four to four and half hours. The Trail steeply ascends for couple of hundred Meters. While gradually walking you can enjoy beautiful deserted landscape, Caves, old Tibetan Style Villages, apple Garden, Yaks Herds, Sheep Herds and so on. You can look at Thorong La valley straight up to the Muktinath. You can enjoy delicious lunch at Jharkot (3550m) and visit Monastery believed to be built in 15th century. Now you head towards Muktinath following steep ascent path for one hour. You stay overnight at Muktinath village. From here you hike to Rani Pauwa (3800m.), an important pilgrimage site for both Hindus and Buddhists. Here you come across Natural flaming which really exhilarates you. At this point, you can see splendid view of Dhaulagiri (8165m), Nilgiri (7061m.) and others. Now you walk for fifteen minutes to reach Muktinath Temple, where you can enjoy a holy bath of 108 Taps. The people of Kagbeni, Jharkot and Muktinath are close to the life style, culture, religion and idea of Tibetan people.
Day 18 :
Muktinath (3800m) – Jomsom (2720m)
4 ½ - 5 hours, 1100m Descent, 100m Ascent
Trek from Muktinath (3800m.) to Jomsom (2720m) and it takes about four and half to five hours. You now begin the trek descent down the dramatic Kali Gandaki Gorge, initially through arid country in the same geographical and climatic zone as Tibet. After passing through Jharkot and Khingar villages with typical Tibetan architecture, you follow path steeply down to Kagbeni, a primitive village famous for Tibetan architectures. People living there follow the Tibetan life style and culture. There is situated a monastery said to belong to 15th Century. Now your trail passes through the bank of Kali Gandaki passing through the Eklebhatti. The trail is windy after late morning. The river flows through broader course. Jomsom is the headquarter of Mustang and it is split into two towns and between these two towns passes through Kali Gandaki river. There is access of internet and banking facilities. From Jomsom, you can enjoy the magnificent views of Nilgiri and Tilicho peak. Here you stay overnight at hotel.
Day 19 :
Fly Jomsom to Pokhara, which takes about 20 minutes. Pokhara is tourist's paradise with full of natural as well as cultural heritage sites such as lakes, caves, temples of Buddhist and Hindus along with mountains. You can observe views to the north across the hills and Phewa Tal (lake) to the white peaks of the Manaslu, Annapurna, Dhaulagiri ranges. This drive will take most of the morning, leaving much of the afternoon to fall in love with its beauty..
Day: 20
Drive or Fly to Kathmandu. You stay overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.
In the afternoon you go for sightseeing tour of Kathmandu city and visit Swayambhunath. Known as Kantipur, Kathmandu is the capital of the Kingdom of Nepal. Here you will visit the temple of the Living Goddess who acknowledges the greetings of the devotees from the balcony of her temple residence. Kashtamandap - the source of the name Kathmandu and supposed to be made from the timber of a single tree and the Durbar Square are with its array of temples overlooked by the Hanuman Dhoka Palace, the ancient place of the Nepalese Royalty.
Located approximately 4 kms./2.5 miles, Swayambhunath is said to be 2000 years old. The Stupa which forms the main structure is composed of a solid hemisphere of brick and earth supporting a lofty conical spire capped by a pinnacle of copper gilt. Painted on the four sided base of the spire are the all seeing eyes of Lord Buddha. This hill is a mosaic of small Chaityas and Pagoda temples.
Day: 21
Sightseeing tour of Pashupatinath and Boudhnath. You stay overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.
Situated 5 kms east of Kathmandu City, Pashupatinath temple is one of the holiest temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. Situated amidst a lush green natural setting on the bank of the sacred Bagmati river, the temple built in pagoda style has jilted roof and richly carved silver doors. Visitors will be permitted to view the temple from the east bank of Bagmati River, entrance in the temple being strictly forbidden to all non Hindus. Pashupatinath is the centre of annual pilgrimage on the day of shivaratri which falls in the month of February/March. Behind the temple are the cremation grounds.
Boudhnath Stupa, 8 kms east of Kathmandu City, is one of the biggest in the world of its kind. It stands with four pairs of eyes in the four cardinal direction keeping watch for righteous behaviour and human prosperity. This Buddhist Stupa was built by King Man Deva at the advice of the Goddess Mani Jogini. It is built on an octagonal base inset with prayer wheels. The shrine is ringed by houses of Lamas or Buddhist priest.
Day: 22
Free day for shopping and recreation in Kathmandu. You stay overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.
